I really challenged this product with my first use. We had a winter storm and the weather tech mats were caked with road salt. I found that Mat Renew did a very adequate job of cleaning an extremely dirty set of mats. It did not however make the mats look brand new. Perhaps with frequent use it will truly renew the mats. I am pleased with the new result and the before and after pictures demonstrate how well the product performed. Note that when applying, I didn't get the clip retaining areas very well. I reapplied additional product to these areas to clean them up so you have to be thorough when applying the first time. I can attest that this does not make the mats slippery.
