Keeping your car’s interior looking fresh can be a challenge, but with the right tricks and products, it’s a breeze. Applying a ceramic coating shields your car’s interior from UV damage, dust, and stains and makes everything look even better.
Ceramic coatings are like a superhero for your car’s interior surfaces, creating a tough barrier against dirt, UV rays, and moisture. They cut down on dust buildup and make cleaning super easy. Plus, they help keep your dashboard, leather, and fabrics looking as good as new for longer.
This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step to quickly get that professional finish.

Step 1: Ceramic Coat Hard Surfaces

Start by giving your dashboard, door panels, and trim a little love with HydroInterior Ceramic Quick Detailer. It's perfect for light cleaning and adding a protective ceramic layer.
If your interior is looking like a disaster zone, you'll want to give it a good clean first to make sure the HydroInterior bonds properly. Check out our blog, How to Clean Your Car Interior: A Step-By-Step Guide.
Spray HydroInterior onto a yellow Workhorse Professional Grade Microfiber Towel (not directly onto the surface) to avoid overspray. Wipe the surface in straight, linear motions to get even coverage and avoid those pesky swirl marks.
Tackle one section at a time so HydroInterior doesn't dry before you spread it. Once you're done, grab a fresh yellow Workhorse Microfiber Towel and buff away any excess product, leaving your car looking clean, protected, and factory fresh.
Step 2: Protect Your Glass

To get your car's windows sparkling clean and protected, grab some HydroView Ceramic Glass Cleaner & Coating. If your glass is super dirty, you'll want to give it a proper clean first. Check out our guide, "How to Clean Your Windshield With No Streaks."
Spray a bit of HydroView onto a blue Workhorse Professional Grade Microfiber Towel and wipe the glass in straight, linear lines. This will give the glass a streak-free finish and add a ceramic layer for better visibility and water repellency.
Buff off any leftover residue with a second blue Workhorse Microfiber Towel. Work on one window at a time, and always work in the shade to prevent HydroView from drying too quickly.

Step 3: Time To Cover Fabrics

HydroThread Ceramic Fabric Protectant & Stain Repellent is your go-to for fabric seats, carpets, and mats.
Start by spraying HydroThread directly onto the fabric surface. Grab your Long Bristle Horse Hair Leather Cleaning Brush (yeah, we know it says it's for leather, but trust us, this brush is a multitasker!) and work HydroThread into the fibers.
Let the first coat dry for about 20 minutes before applying a second coat. For the second round, just spray HydroThread evenly over all your fabric surfaces and let it dry without brushing. This two-layer approach gives you top-notch protection against spills and stains, making future cleanups a breeze.
Step 4: Protect Leather and Vinyl

HydroLeather Ceramic Coating and Quick Detailer is your best buddy for leather and vinyl surfaces.
First, make sure the surface is clean so HydroLeather can bond properly. Check out our guide, How to Clean and Protect Leather Car Seats. Remember to use HydroLeather after the Leather Cleaner and before your Leather Conditioner. If you need to clean those seats, use the Long Bristle Horsehair Leather Cleaning Brush.
Once your leather is squeaky clean, apply HydroLeather to a Premium Grade Microfiber Applicator. Spray a small amount onto the applicator, dab it onto the surface, and spread it evenly in straight lines.
Let HydroLeather sit for about 30 seconds, then grab a tan Workhorse Microfiber Towel and buff away any excess. This will protect your leather and keep it looking and feeling natural.
Applying ceramic coatings to your car’s interior is a fantastic way to keep it looking sharp and functioning well. Follow this guide and use the right products, and you'll get that showroom finish while protecting your investment for years.
